Janet Gershlick is a well respected writer, author and broadcaster. After losing both her beloved mum and step father within three months of each other, Janet started writing on a daily basis to record the painful and isolating journey of bereavement and loss. She noted that everything in life both stayed the same and changed forever and along the way she notes the attitudes and comments of others and the regret, loneliness, anger and bewilderment that often overwhelms her. There is also humour and passion in the one hour performance – with honest observations that many with their own life situations can relate to. But she survives the journey with the help of a cat and a bike helmet.
